„If you love your job, you never have to work a day”. After eighteen years of working experience as a physical therapist, Marlies Renkens started a practice for Osteopathy located in her hometown Kerkrade in 2002. Marlies was educated in Osteopathy by the International Academy of Osteopathy, located in Gent, from which she graduated in 2001. Additionally, Marlies received a diploma in Pediatric Osteopathy which she received from „Panta Rhei Opleidingen” in 2008. Marlies is still actively committed to this postgraduate osteopathic training institute, by the means of supervising and teaching. Marlies is a osteopath who is passionate and fully committed to her job, in which she has a special affinity for working with children. From her perspective, every day is a new challenge to unravel the complaints of her patients, and how to counter these complaints. A major source of inspiration to her work as an osteopath is intensive study. Consequentially, her knowledge and skills keep expanding, and she follows the newest developments in the field of osteopathy closely. Besides working in her own practice, Marlies also contributed to medical expeditions in Kenya, organized by Divinity Foundation. These medical expeditions were an enrichment for her, both on a personal as well as on an osteopathic level. More information about these medical expeditions can be found by clicking the link „Osteopathy in Kenya”. Currently, Marlies is involved in a project which focuses on young mothers and their children. This project is organized by Radar,a foundation that supports people with (mental) disabilities. Marlies Renkens is a member of the „Nederlandse Vereniging voor Osteopathie (NVO)” and is registered in the „Nederlands Register voor Osteopathie (NRO)”. Therefore, she may use the title of DO-MRO, acknowledged by health insurance companies. |
